President

Patrick Genovese

Patrick is a Professional member of ASSE since 1977, and a member of the ASSE Tellers’ Committee since 2008. In 2009, he was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year. He holds both a CSP and Certified in Homeland Security (CHS) designation. Patrick has years of risk management experience and has authored corporate safety, fleet, fire prevention, and security and business continuity programs. He’s served the chapter in many different capacities over the years, including Newsletter editor, Governmental Affairs, and in 2008-9 as Vice President.

First Vice President – Internal Affairs

Bill Linneweh

Bill joined ASSE in 2001. He is a CSP, holds a B.S. in Occupational Safety from Illinois State University, and a M.S. in Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University. Bill has years of experience working as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for Hendrickson International, a heavy truck suspension manufacturer. Bill served as our President during the 2006-7 chapter year, and was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2006. He continues to stay very involved with chapter activities, volunteering his time to help organize the Chicagoland Safety Conference at NIU, and coordinated the chapter’s first golf outing in May 2009.

Second Vice President – External Affairs

Mery Sennett

Mery joined ASSE in 2005, and is President of Ideal Safety Communication Inc. She holds two Masters Degrees, one in Chemistry, and the other in Curriculum and Instruction. Mery is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer (General Industry, 10 and 30 hours), and provides bilingual safety training and consulting in English and Spanish. She has more than 18 years of Health and Safety experience in manufacturing, and in contract research and development environments. At our breakfast meeting in March 2009, Mery gave a very informative presentation on Hispanic Worker Training, and promoted chapter outreach to regulators by including OSHA. Mery started volunteering with the Three Rivers Chapter as our Membership Chair in 2006.

Secretary

Scot Salzman

Scot has been an ASSE member since 1981, and was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2008. He’s a professional member of our society, and is published in the ASSE Risk Management Insight Newsletter. Scot holds the titles of CSP, ARM, CPCU and ALCM, and currently works for Crum & Forster Insurance Companies. Scot has over 25 years experience in property, fleet and occupational safety. This includes knowledge of risk management, hazard analysis, evaluation of loss control programs, and development of risk improvement plans. In addition to serving as Secretary during 2008-09, he represented our chapter at the spring 2009 Regional Operating Committee Meeting in Iowa. Scot served as the Program Chair, coordinating speakers for our monthly meetings, during the 2006-8 chapter years.

Joe Lasky, Jr.

Joe is a professional member of ASSE since 1986. He’s a CSP, CHMM, and a graduate of Northern Illinois University. Joe has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, and construction project safety management. He currently works as the Corporate Director of Safety at Scheck Mechanical Corporation. For the past several years, Joe has volunteered many hours to make the annual Chicagoland Safety Conference a valuable development opportunity for professionals across the region. Joe served as our President during the 2004-5 chapter year, and received the chapter Safety Professional of the Year Award in 2005.

Brenda McCracken

Brenda joined ASSE in 1996 as a professional member, and holds a M.S. in Hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh. Brenda has years of experience managing safety, health, and environmental programs in nuclear power production and decommissioning, training, consulting, and manufacturing industries. In addition to President, Brenda also served as Newsletter and Website Editor during 2008-09. Brenda started volunteering with Three Rivers Chapter in 2004 as the Communications Chair, and served as First Vice President during the 2007-8 chapter year.

Anita Worden

Anita has been a member of ASSE since 1994, and holds a B.S. in Nursing. She has over 20 years in safety and health management in various food manufacturing and corn wet milling settings, and currently works at Sara Lee Corporation as the Director of Global Sustainability, Environment and Safety Compliance Programs. Anita is the Vice Chair for the American Baking Association Safety Committee, and Chair of the Ergonomics Committee for the Food and Beverage section of the National Safety Council. Anita gave a very well received presentation on Sustainable Lean Ergonomics at our February 2009 chapter luncheon.

Membership Chair

Mary Prisby

Mary has been a member of ASSE since 1991, and serves as the Assistant Administrator for the Environmental Practice Specialty. She earned an M.S. degree, and Certificate in Environmental Management from IIT. Mary has years of professional EH&S experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. Mary has served the chapter in many capacities over the years, including Secretary, Webmaster, Vice President, and in 2005-06, President. Mary worked tirelessly to improve the Three Rivers Chapter, and many members have had the opportunity to volunteer with her. She is technically competent and passionate about our profession.

Governmental Affairs

Brian Rimbo

Brian joined ASSE in 2002. He earned a B.S. in Fire Science from Southern Illinois University, and holds the titles of CSP, CHMM, OHST and EMT-P. His experience includes 18 years with the Lemont Fire Protection District, and 14 years with CITGO Petroleum Corporation. For the November 2008 chapter breakfast meeting, Brian gave an informative presentation on Emergency Management, and promoted chapter community outreach by including several members of the Lemont Fire Department. Brian served as our President during the 2007-8 chapter year, and was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2007.
