Patrick Genovese

Patrick is a Professional member of ASSE since 1977, and a member of the ASSE Tellers’ Committee since 2008. Patrick is the Risk Management Coordinator for DuPage County in Illinois. In 2009, Three Rivers acknowledged him as the Chapter Safety Professional of the Year. He holds both a CSP and CHS-II (Certified in Homeland Security). Patrick has served the chapter in many different capacities over the years, including Newsletter editor, Governmental Affairs, and Vice President.

Mery Sennett

Mery joined ASSE in 2005, and is President of Ideal Safety Communication Inc. Mery is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer (General Industry, 10 and 30 hours), and provides bilingual safety training and consulting in English and Spanish. She has more than 18 years of Health and Safety experience in manufacturing, and in contract research and development environments. Mery started volunteering with the Three Rivers Chapter in 2006. As Program Chair, she continues to improve the quality of our professional development programs and worked with ASSE to obtain CEUs for our members. Mery is also serving on the ASSE 2011 PDC Committee, and is working hard to organize greeters for the thousands of safety professionals that will descend on Chicago in 2011.

Anita Worden

Anita has been a member of ASSE since 1994, and holds a B.S. in Nursing. She has over 20 years in safety and health management in various food manufacturing and corn wet milling settings, and currently works at Sara Lee Corporation as the Director of Global Sustainability, Environment and Safety Compliance Programs. Anita also chairs the Ergonomics Committee for the Food and Beverage section of the National Safety Council and is the Vice Chair for the American Baking Association Safety Committee. In the past, Anita represented the chapter in the ASSE House of Delegates, and currently chairs our Awards and Honors Committee.

Andrea has been a member of ASSE since 1979 and is a CSP. She currently works for the Great American Insurance Group, and recently became a Certified Playground Safety Inspector. Andrea served as 1999-2000 President, and has volunteered in many capacities over the years to help the Three Rivers Chapter.

Joe is a professional member of ASSE since 1986. He’s a CSP, CHMM, and a graduate of Northern Illinois University. Joe has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, and construction project safety management. He currently works as the Corporate Director of Safety at Scheck Mechanical Corporation. For the past several years, Joe has volunteered many hours to make the annual Chicagoland Safety Conference a valuable development opportunity for professionals across the region. Joe served as our President during the 2004-5 chapter year, and received the chapter Safety Professional of the Year Award in 2005.

Brian joined ASSE in 2002. He earned a B.S. in Fire Science from Southern Illinois University, and holds the titles of CSP, CHMM, OHST and EMT-P. His experience includes 19 years with the Lemont Fire Protection District, and 15 years with CITGO Petroleum Corporation. He served as our President during the 2007-8 chapter year, and was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2007. Brian also serves the chapter as the Governmental Affairs chairperson.

Scot has been an ASSE member since 1981, and was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2008. He’s a professional member of our society, and is published in the ASSE Risk Management Insight Newsletter. Scot holds the titles of CSP, ARM, CPCU and ALCM, and currently works for Crum & Forster Insurance Companies. Scot has over 25 years experience in property, fleet and occupational safety. Scot has served our chapter for many years, as Program Chair, Secretary, and is also currently the Newsletter Editor.

Brenda is a CSP working as an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager within the Architectural Coatings business segment of PPG Industries. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University, and is currently working on an MS/MBA. Brenda joined ASSE in 2008, became a CSP in 2009, and started volunteering with Three Rivers Chapter in 2010. Her enthusiasm and expertise will serve members well, and are a welcome addition to our board meetings!

Farheen Khan

Dr. Farheen Khan joined ASSE in 2007. She completed her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin, focusing on occupational safety and health. Dr. Khan is a Senior Associate in Exponent’s Human Factors practice. Her work focuses on applying human factors principles to understanding human error and risk taking behavior. Her efforts to reduce joblessness in our chapter can lead to improvements in workplace safety, even in a struggling economy, but she can’t do it without your help! If you have job leads, or want to participate in a chapter networking event, please contact Farheen ASAP!

Sean joined ASSE in 2007. He graduated from Illinois State University, and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). He currently works as a Loss Prevention Consultant at Accident Fund Insurance Company. Sean is a dedicated safety professional with years of experience in risk management, workplace safety, employee training, and environmental compliance. Sean’s efforts to improve the professional development offered to Three Rivers Chapter members can increase their credibility in a crowded job market. If you’re thinking about participating in the study group, as a student or teacher, Sean wants to hear from you!

Amy joined ASSE in 1989. She is a CSP, and a graduate of Illinois State University. Amy has years of professional safety experience in the petrochemical industry, contractor training, and currently works with a prestigious engineering firm in the Chicagoland area. Amy served as our 2002-03 President, and was selected to receive our first chapter Safety Professional of the Year Award because of her dedication to the safety profession and the success of Three Rivers Chapter. She has been and continues to be an active and welcome participant in chapter activities.

Bill Linneweh

Bill joined ASSE in 2001. He is a CSP, CHMM, earned a B.S. in Occupational Safety from Illinois State University, and a M.S. in Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University. Bill is the EHS Manager for Hendrickson International, a heavy truck suspension manufacturer. Bill is a Special Government Employee for OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program, and a Region V VPPPA Board Member. Bill served as our President during the 2006-7 chapter year, and was awarded Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for 2006. Bill coordinated our first golf outing in May 2009, that has grown into a regional event for 2010.

Brenda McCracken

Brenda joined ASSE in 1996 as a professional member, and holds a M.S. in Hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh. Her safety career began in the steel industry in 1978, and she has many years of experience managing EHS programs in nuclear power and decommissioning, manufacturing, and training. Brenda started volunteering with Three Rivers Chapter in 2004, serving as Newsletter Editor, Webmaster, Vice President, President, and Delegate. When Brenda was 2008-09 President of the Executive Board, Three Rivers Chapter earned the ASSE STAR Award for outstanding service to members.
