In recent decades, U.S. employers  have made significant progress in addressing issues of health and safety in the workplace which has resulted in a significant decline in injury and illness rates since 1970.  During this time, major safety improvements have been made through the use of risk assessments, medical surveillance programs, training, improved PPE, improved machine and facility engineering along with other factors.  Integrating wellness programs with injury prevention programs can have an additional impact on your programs.  Come learn about this concept and some key metrics that could be used to measure the effectiveness of a fully integrated health and safety strategies to assess value for your company and employees.
